The
Seaton Expedition Seventy offers spectacular accommodations in an
expedition-style world cruiser. If long-range voyaging in luxury
is on your list of things to do, the Expedition Seventy is your boat.
With her molded beam of over 22', the Expedition
Seventy
offers
extraordinary interior volume. The main saloon, dining area, and
galley are contained in a space that is 16' wide and 28' long,
giving home-like luxury—including a separate dining table
seating eight—that is unheard of in a 70' boat.
The
galley features professional full-size appliances and natural
stone counters, plus tons of storage space. Like
all Seaton long-range voyagers, the Expedition Seventy has a big-ship
wheelhouse for comfortable operation in any weather. The
wheelhouse features twin Stidd chairs for captain and navigator, a
full-size chart table, and a raised dinette for casual dining.
Aft
of the wheelhouse, the crowning glory of the Expedition Seventy is her
Sky Lounge. Tall, tempered-glass windows offer uninterrupted views
of the world outside. A built-in wet bar, refrigerator, and day
head make this extraordinary space the ultimate private retreat.
For complete versatility, the built-in settee extends to form a
double berth for occasional extra guests. A cozy observation
deck aft of the Sky Lounge offers additional seating and outdoor
dining space.
Belowdecks,
the accommodation deck includes a full-width owner's suite plus
two guest suites. The owner's head has twin sinks, natural stone
finishes throughout, and a luxurious home-size shower or spa-style
tub/shower combination. The owner's stateroom features a
king-size berth, and the hanging locker and bureau space necessary
for permanent life afloat. Each guest suite includes a
private head with separate stall shower. A separate utility room
on the accommodation deck contains a full-size washer and dryer,
plus a custom built-in freezer. (more

A
signature feature of all Seaton expedition yachts is a
spacious, well-organized engine room with full headroom,
workbenches, and huge amounts of storage. On the
Expedition Seventy, the engine room is 14' long and over
14' wide, with headroom of 6' 4". Our
concern for safety and comfort is exemplified on deck.
Wide side decks, high bulwarks, and fully-protected
exterior stairways provide remarkable on-deck security
in any weather. On the main afterdeck, built-in
banquette seating with a large dining table can
comfortably accommodate six for outdoor dining. Close
the side-deck doors, and the entire afterdeck becomes a
protected extension of the interior living space.
The
foredeck is large enough to carry a primary tender of up
to 18', plus additional auxiliary craft such as a
sailing dinghy, smaller RIB, or multiple kayaks. If
exploring ashore is on your agenda, take along a couple
of motorcycles, as well! Designed with twin diesel
power for the ultimate in get-home capability, the
Expedition
Seventy
carries enough fuel to cross the Atlantic
from the US to Europe at over 10 knots, while
maintaining adequate fuel reserves for weather-induced
delays. Cruise anywhere in the world without worrying
about the next fuel stop.
With a low-maintenance exterior, twin engines, hydraulic
bow and stern thrusters, and powered docking capstans
forward and aft, the Expedition
Seventy
is specifically
engineered to be owner operated and maintained. However,
an innovative hull mold allows the Expedition
Seventy
to be
lengthened a full eight feet if professional crew is
desired. The longer hull provides excellent
accommodations for a captain and/cook team, while
maintaining compete privacy for owners and guests.
With the longer hull, the Sky Lounge increases
dramatically in size, and is larger than the main saloon
of most yachts of this length. Cruise anywhere,
anytime in the Seaton Expedition
Seventy. With this yacht,
the voyage is the destination!
